Calculator for Age

Calculator for Age

The Age Calculator will be help you figure out how old you are or how far apart two dates are. Years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, and seconds will be give beside the calculate age.

Different cultures count a person's age in different ways. This calculator uses the most generally used age method. The age of the system grows with each birthday. For example, a person's age is 3 after 3 years and 11 months of life, and his or her age will increase to 4 on his or her next birthday, which is one month away. The majority of Western countries use the system.

In some cultures, age is expressed by counting the years, including or excluding the current year. People are born at age 1 and the age grows up at the Traditional Chinese New Year instead of birthdays in the traditional Chinese age systems. For example, a person who is twenty years old is the same as a person who is in the twenty-first year of his/her life. For example, if a baby is born the day before the Traditional Chinese New Year, he or she will be two days old when the New Year arrives.

The months and days results of this age calculator can be perplexing in some cases, especially when the starting date is at the end of a month. For instance, from February 20 to March 20, there are two ways to determine the age from February 28, 2015 to March 31, 2015. If you consider February 28 through March 28 to be one month, the outcome is a month and three days. If both the 28th of February and the 31st of March are considered the end of the month, the outcome is one month. The results of the computation are plausible. Dates such as April 30 to May 31, May 30 to June 30, and so on are in a similar scenario. The irregular number of days in different months causes confusion. The earlier system was working in the calculation.
