School Transport New rules for Government school

 Distance from home to primary school is more than 1 (one) km of primary and distance of upper primary school is more than 3 (three) km. Children are entitled to the benefit of transport facility.  Education Mantra in context  As stated in the letter dated 7/9/2071, the students of secondary school were asked to make a proposal for transport facility.  In the year 206-2, a proposal has been made to the Ministry of Education, Government of India for the benefit of transport facilities to a total of 1,8,31 children, 1,3,50 children of primary school and 12,91 children of standard 9 and 10 of secondary school.  (Enclosure-1)


 1. As per RTE Act, 2006, distance of primary school from Jyotir is more than 1 (one) km and distance of upper primary school is 3 (three) - km.  Children above Rs.  2. Transportation facility should be given to the students of Std-9 and 10 of secondary school who are more than 5 km away from home.  .  The students of the model school will have to be given the benefit of transportation.  (As per the rules, distance from home to school should be taken into consideration.)  (1) Whether every school board or principal has fitness certificate and permit for autorickshaw / Maruti van / four wheeler used to bring their children to school and take them home?  Make sure to keep a copy of it and update it at least three times in a year from time to time.  (3) Transportation has to be paid according to the presence of VTS. (3) The parents of the children who come in autorickshaw / maruti van / four-wheeler should be called to the school for safety and convenience of the children.  In the meanwhile awareness should be brought by calling a meeting of guardians.

(2) As per RTO guideline, Maruti van has a van with capacity of 2 plus 1 driver.  It should be seen that only van with facilities is used. (2) School rickshaw and school van should be written in clear and capital letters on the front and back of every vehicle for renting school children.  If the vehicle is rented for the children, the text should be clearly visible on it as per the school rules. 2) Every vehicle should have first aid kit compulsorily.



 The school should ensure this from time to time.  The school must also make sure that the required fire extinguishing equipment is complied with in every vehicle. (20) The name of the owner and the telephone or mobile number must be written on such vehicle. (11) The school vehicle doors are closed with good quality lock.  (12) Every autorickshaw / Maruti van four wheeler should have enough space to keep the school bag safe. (12) Seat cushions should be plain and should not have a crooked surface.  The body should be permanently closed so that no part of the body of the child can come out of the net.  (12) Such a vehicle may be driven at a speed of more than 50 kmph. If the vehicle breaks down under any circumstances, another vehicle will have to be arranged.  (12) Children's files in the vehicle shall not be hung on any side of the vehicle. (13) No children may be seated in the driver's seat.  A copy of which must be kept in SMC (30). Police verification of the driver must be done within a time limit of one month.
