KYC Registration Agencies Must Report Cyberattacks Within 6 Hours Of Discovery SEBI

Capital requests controller Sebi on Wednesday asked good registers to an Issue and Share Transfer Agents( QRTAs) and KYC Registration Agencies( KRAs) to report allcyber-attacks, pitfalls and breaches endured by them within six hours of detecting similar incidents.
The incident will also be reported to the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team( CERT- In) in agreement with the guidelines issued by CERT- In from time to time, the controller said in two separate leaflets.
also, the QRTAs and KRAs, whose systems have been linked as' protected system' by National Critical Information structure Protection Centre( NCIIPC) will also report similar incidents to NCIIPC." Allcyber-attacks, pitfalls, cyber incidents and breaches endured by QRTAs shall be reported to Sebi within six hours of noticing detecting similar incidents or being brought to notice about similar incidents," the controller said in a indirect on Wednesday.

The daily reports containing information oncyber-attacks, pitfalls, cyber incidents and breaches endured by QRTAs as well as KRAs and measures taken to alleviate the vulnerabilities, including information on bugs vulnerabilities, pitfalls that may be useful for others, will have to be submitted to Sebi within 15 days from the end of every quarter.
